Terraso is Ready for Landscape Data Sharing

We are excited to announce another milestone in our progress towards creating the Terraso platform, a home for community leaders practicing Integrated Landscape Management (ILM) to find critical information and software tools. Terraso is the technical pillar of 1000 Landscapes for 1 Billion People, a global initiative bringing together leading organizations to help landscapes around the world address goals of climate, biodiversity, food security, and sustainable economies.

With today’s release, landscape leaders can upload and share data both with other members of their partnership, and with the broader community. This is just the first step in supporting the data needs of landscape partnerships: collecting, analyzing, visualizing, and communicating critical information about each landscape’s condition and progress.

If your landscape or organization would like to participate in the definition and creation of Terraso, please contact us!

Terraso is open source software freely available on GitHub.

Terraso is a project of Tech Matters. Critical funding for Terraso was provided by the Cisco Foundation, Hitz Foundation, IKEA Foundation, The Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, and Schmidt Futures.
